IP-CHART

IP-CHART is an Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education project that aims to enhance the role of cultural and natural heritage as a driver of sustainable tourism, local development and employability in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

The project promotes innovative approaches to higher education by supporting the development of practical skills, interdisciplinary learning pathways and stronger links between academic training, local communities and the cultural heritage and tourism sectors.

KEY FOCUS AREAS

Modernising higher education in cultural and natural heritage through innovative, multi- and transdisciplinary curricula

Strengthening practical skills and employability through training, internships and on-the-job learning opportunities

Supporting sustainable tourism as a driver of local and socio-economic development

Fostering collaboration among universities, local authorities, civil society and heritage and tourism stakeholders

Encouraging applied research, innovation and the use of new technologies through dedicated laboratories and research centres.
